Evolution 2010

It's that time of year again. Yes Evo 2010 starts tomorrow Super Street Fighter IV, Tekken 6, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Marvel vs Capcom 2. But one of the most surprising additions to the line up is Melty Blood Actress Again. This is one of the tournaments I am looking forward to being a former Melty player.

Unfortunately I couldn't go this year but I personally am happy for the Melty community despite all the hate they get for playing a "weaboo game." Surprisingly, according to the Melty Bread forums, they have 71 players participating in the MBAA tournament (not sure if this is a lot lol). If things go well for Melty at EVO, we could have a chance of having MBAA localized on the PS3 and 360 with netplay included.

If anybody here is going to EVO, good luck to you and I can't wait for the matches.

EVO time baby. Gonna watch this year for sure. Thank god this is the last time I have to see MSS+Cap'com (aka MvC2) being played there. It's time for that game to just roll over and die already.

And most dudes don't like MB because its a lolicon/ecchi game with unusual characters. Im fine with this though. The non-existant NA releases are what really kill the game. That, I have a problem with. Give us a PSN release dammit!

What surprises me is that these haters who seemingly don't like anything remotely Japanese/Anime like in a fighting game, most likely play Street Fighter or Tekken, which is made by a Japanese company lol.

I even heard that they don't use the term Okizeme and replaced it with "the Vortex." Must be because they're ashamed of their games' Japanese heritage lol.

vortex is a term given to magnetos mix up in mvc2, and because akuma had something as dangerous in sf4 people started calling it that.

and then eventually dudes started calling all kinda stuff vortex. but its definitely not a replacement for oki.

as for evo I really want FlashM to do well. Ill be watching it all weekend haha.

The game stopped being interesting a loonng time ago, at least for me. Playing random with a bunch of friends is still fun though. However, tournament play of MvC2, especially at EVO, has been the same; the same players, the same characters, the same techniques (Sentinel/Storm corner turtling, Cap'com spam) to the point where I could swear I've seen the exact same match played over and over again.

And real talk: no one wants to be the guy who's oddles over the loli game with school girls a-plenty. No offense to anyone, I think the game is pretty good. Better than Arcana Fart.

I'm pretty hyped for Mike Ross vs Daigo. Both players are awesome.

I was so hyped man. If it wasn't late at night, I would've been screaming my head off. I was just on vent shouting out random shit watching top 32 matches. I love Evo.
