Good stuff.

Sega finally took Capcom's path and made their franchise look more like their old selves. Guess that was the correct decision to take since all their new 3D Sonic games were shitty and unplayable.

I'm not a big Sonic fan, but I like playing their game when they're great, nonetheless. So, will look forward to it.

Note to Sega: "This is what we wanted, as long as we have this you can make all the werewolf Sonics that you want."

Unleashed was actually pretty good, I paid $5 for it recently but stopped at a night stage. Really just a terrible idea to put that crap in.

Looks promising, hopefully Sonic 4 will be great. Certainly better that his 3D games, however, I did like the Adventure games (mostly SA1, no not the GC port).

I do like a bunch of Sega games. The most recent Virtua Fighter games are solid fighters. Now lets up Sega release VF5R on PS3 and 360.

Fantasy Zone is definitely a great Shmup series. Been enjoying the games thanks to the Fantasy Zone Complete Collection for PS2. It was also cool that they remade FZ2 w/ the System 16 arcade hardware.

Sonic 4 more like Sonic Rush 3

I'm not excited at all for this, but who am I kidding it's a downloadable title that probably won't be more than 20 bucks so I'll end up buying it anyways.

It looks like it's going the megaman 9 DLC whoring route from the looks of "Episode 1". I just hope it's worthwhile in this game

If it's more, I ain't even considering it. Looks like another failed attempt to revive the old Sonic franchise. Sonic Rush was an ok game, but it was also more then 20$. Should I be expecting less from this title when what I/we really want is more then just a pseudo Sonic Rush 3? To say I used to love Sonic games...(til Sonic Heroes, Sonic on 360, etc etc. Ya'll get the picture)

Yeah Sonic Unleashed was OK. Really good aside for the werehog stuff....but everyone knew that was gonna suck. No surprise tho. I like the idea that bosting will be out. I loved the feeling of reaching top speed without having a blur effect.

Sonic unleashed was still plagued by the mindlessness of the other more recent 2D sonic games. At least from what I played

Which is what I hope this game doesn't end up as. I hope they decide to implement some half decent platforming instead of just HOLD RIGHT AND RUN FAST

While I can understand the sentiment, you could not have picked a worst stage for your point. Out of all the Sonic 1 stages, that was definitely my most hated. Slow and sheer boredom.

So long as the platforming doesn't slow down the game to a snail's pace like that particular level I'm fine with it.

I guess

I didn't mind it at the time. All games were like that back then. and I don't really think sonic games were known for RUNNING REALLY FAST the same way they are today.

idk, the point about the old sonic games was hold left and run really fast along with sum good platforming. The games were great b/c of that simpel idea. Sonic games were always known for speed, hence the name sonic.

Well if you've played the older sonic games you'd notice they are significantly slower than the recent 2D ones. Which is what I meant.

It just seems like the later games lost sight of what made the series successful in the first place and focused just on the speed. and kind of think that's what made the games less enjoyable over time. At least for someone like me who grew up with the first 3.

I kind of wish I grew up with Mario instead as a kid.
